Age  79,  passed away peacefully, Monday, September 27, 2021  with family by her side.

Survived by one son Mark Nelson; two daughters Kimberly (David) Gore and Jennifer (Donald) Smith; grandchildren Christopher, James and Matthew Gore, Allison and Oliver Smith; brother Louis (Carol) Ternik.  Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded in death by her husband James M. Nelson; parents Louis and Katherine (Krenz) Ternik and one sister Barbara Ternik.

Born in Joliet, living in Lockport.  Donna was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.   Member of St. John Lutheran Church where she was known as the Coffee Lady and active in the Martha Circle and Couples Club.   She was an avid reader and loved to watch Christmas movies all year round.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday October 1, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home with Rev. Jennifer Beamsley officiating.   Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park.   Visitation Friday morning 12:30 p.m. until time of services.
