<p><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">Peter Garcia, 68, of Allentown, passed away on September 20 at St. Luke’s Hospital – Warren Campus, Phillipsburg, NJ. Born on October 18, 1952 in Naguabo, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Maria (Simmons) Garcia and the late Pedro Garcia Maldonado.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">He was of the Catholic faith. Peter was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">In addition to his mother in Naguabo, he is survived by a son, Peter Irizarry Garcia of Passaic, NJ; sisters America Garcia of Allentown, PA, Maria Morales of Westtown, NY, Iris Garcia of Bethlehem, PA, Emma Maldonado of Allentown, PA, brother Carlos Mendez of Naguabo, PR; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family:verdana,geneva,sans-serif;">A viewing for Peter will be held on Friday, October 1 from 12‑2pm in the Boyko Funeral Home, 855 Lehigh Street; Allentown, PA 18103. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm in the funeral home. Interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery, Allentown.
