James “Tom” Bowers age 67 of Brookside entered into eternal life on Sunday, September 26, 2021. He was born on March 11, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to parents Mack "Duke" and Dorothy Bowers.  Tom was a graduate of Evarts High School where he excelled on both the basketball court and the baseball field. Each spring and summer you could find him working in his big garden that he loved.  He volunteered and was an essential part in the food ministry at his church.  He was a member of the Verda First Baptist Church.
