Wilda Jeanne Brewer Obituary

Wilda Jeanne Brewer, age 85, passed away September 26, 2021 due to a massive stroke, and was surrounded by family.  She was born May 13, 1936 in Garnett, Kansas to Antoine (Tony) John Nilges and Velma Marguerite Thompson Nilges. She married her best-friend and love, Charles Ned Brewer March 25, 1956 in Denver, Colorado, he preceded her in death December 22, 2020.

Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She especially enjoyed visiting, teaching, calling, and loved visiting and serving with her sisters.

Jeanne loved her family and vested herself in holidays, milestones, and get-to-gathers. She genuinely stayed interested in each of her children’s, grandchildren’s, and great-grandchildren’s lives, and she bragged of their accomplishments with pride.

Jeanne was a devoted military wife following her husband all around the country and overseas to Okinawa.  She was a member of the women’s service organization all during his military career helping wherever needed other military families.

She was quite crafty, she sewed many of her children’s clothes, she decorated cakes for her family and often for kids of her neighborhood. She loved to do decorations for weddings, and she did many. She was employed throughout her travels at many varied places including Jewelry store, multiple sewing plants and a firearms company. She was very adaptable and good at what she did.

Together with her husband, she was involved with “The Good Sams Club” for many years including serving as state officers. They made many dear friends.  They were “Snowbirds” as well spending many winters in Quartzite and Tucson AZ.

She was especially excited to learn a new grandchild was coming to join her family and bragged and squealed about them.  She was happiest whenever anyone of them or a whole bunch were visiting with her.

Preceding Jeanne in death, her siblings, Charles and Joan.

Jeanne is survived by her cherished family, children, Debra Fuell and husband Kenneth, Robert Brewer and wife Heide, and Daryl Brewer and wife Kathy, 13 grandchildren and spouses, 29 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Her sister-in-law’s Marla (Gary) Jackson, Marie (Wilford) Brewer and Helen (Charles) Nilges.

She loved them all dearly, and they filled her life.
