James E. “PeeWee” Sealy

Age 70, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021 at Amita St. Joseph Medical Center.

Survived by his wife Margaret J. “Peg” (Bracken) Sealy; two sons Matthew and Kevin Sealy; brother Patrick (Carol) Sealy; sister Donna Shepard; niece Nikki Starbuck and great niece Norah Jo Starbuck.

Preceded in death by his father Edward M. Sealy; mother Helen Mae (Stewart) Bluth and step father Joseph Bluth.

Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident.  James retired from Caterpillar in 2012 after 41 years. He worked at Woodruff Golf Course in the Pro Shop, since 2015.  Active in baseball since childhood, James served as President of the Crest Hill Pony Baseball from 1999-2001.  Avid fan of local wrestling, all around sports athlete and fan.

Visitation will be held, Tuesday, September 28, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home.  As per James’s wishes cremation rite will be accorded.  In lieu of flowers, memorials to Donor’s choice would be appreciated.
