William Glenwood “Glen” Harrell, Sr. 85, unexpectedly  went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021, at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, Sept. 27, 2021, at Citty Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Strader officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Military Rites. A native of Rockingham Co., he was a son of the late William T. and Bertha Likens Harrell and had lived in Reidsville most of his life.  Glen was retired from Ball Corp. and later he worked at Walmart in Eden.  He was of Baptist faith, was an avid golfer and loved his Atlanta Braves.  Glen was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 65 years; Rosie Williams Harrell, brothers; Jessie Harrell, Bobby Harrell, Rev. Don Harrell, and Joe Harrell, sister; Virginia Branch. Surviving are his son; William Glenwood “Glen” Harrell, Jr. of Reidsville, Cindi H. Isley  (Skipper) of Reidsville and Donna H. Mabe of Madison, sisters; Joyce Robinson of FL and Mary Mabe (Don) of Madison, grandchildren; Starr Stephens, Glenda Mims, Marva Broadnax, Tabatha Rose, and Derek Manley, great grandchildren; Hunter Stephens, Holden Stephens, Jaden Broadnax, Kayden Mims, Jaxon Voss, Kerigan Allred, Logan Allred, and Norah Broadnax.  His special pet; Buster the chipmunk. The family will see friends from 6:00 till 8:00PM Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021, at Citty Funeral Home and at other times, they will be at the residence, 931 Harrison Cross Road Loop.  Online condolences may be made at www.cittyfh.com
