Violet Mae Huff Velotta, 81, of Owensboro, Kentucky died, January 28, 2017 at Signature Healthcare at Hillcrest in Owensboro. She was born August 23, 1935 in Ohio County, Kentucky to the late Ellis and Pallie Huff. She was a self-employed hairdresser for 42 years. She was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jimmie Stuart Velotta on September 29, 2014; brother, Leslie Huff and sister, Hazel Little. Survivors include her son, Alan Velotta; daughter, Belinda Hagan; grandchildren, David Gish, II (Margaret) and John Michael Cooper, great grandson; Diego Duane Gish; sister in law, Marge Huff. Services are 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Burial is in Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
