Isaiah 40:31, “...but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Stanley Franklin Clark “Ole Man” age 67 departed this life peacefully September 22, 2021 in Cartersville, GA. surrounded by family. Stanley is lovingly remembered by his son, Stanley Ryan Clark, daughter, Brandi Clark “Punk”, and grandchildren, Austin, Colbie, and Payton all of Cartersville. He is loved and remembered by his sister’s Janet, Betty, Deborah, and Pamela, nephews Stacy, Derek, Daniel, and Tyler, and nieces Dena, Michelle, Shana, Brittney, Whittney, Tamara, and Chasity whom he loved dearly. Stanley is preceded beyond this life by former wife and mother to his children, Mrs. Regina Dale Davis (Clark) who were wedded in 1974. He is preceded by father Louie D. Clark, mother Mary Elizabeth Clark, brothers Robert and Danny, sister Mrs. Nadine Rogers, and nephews Shane Sellers and Chad Underwood. Stanley was born in Cartersville, GA. September 28, 1954 and spent the majority of his life caring for his siblings. He was concrete finisher by trade. He enjoyed simple things in life, such as laughter, and always had a quick smile and whimsical comment to ease the stresses and strains of life. He loved his family. And his dogs! He enjoyed working in the yard or fixing things around the house. He had a small garden, several doves and birds he cared for daily. His cherished moments were family gatherings at Coopers Day Use Area. His favorite movie was Cool Hand Luke, hero was John Wayne, and he was fan of classic rock artist, Creedance Clearwater Revival, Bob Seger, and Rolling Stones. Stanley was a great man, loving father, and was always willing to help others. He was of the Christian faith. He is remembered as one who always tried to be there, and be available! What more could one ask for? He’s missed dearly! We love you “Ole Man”! A memorial service will be held at The Etowah River Riverside Day Use Area on Altoona Dam Road at Shelter B on Saturday October 9th, 2021 family and friends will begin arriving between 10 and 11am and the Memorial Ceremony will begin around 1:30pm with Minister Joseph Kimbell officiating. All are welcome and invited to attend in commemoration of Stanley Clark.
