Martha Marie Piazza

Martha Marie Piazza passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 23, 2021. She was 68 years old. A native of Americus, Georgia, Martha was a dedicated member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her world revolved around her two daughters and she was a proud homemaker. Her favorite pastime was spending precious moments with her family, especially her grandchildren. Martha loved painting and had a great zest for life. She was a 1970 graduate of Perry High School. Martha was the widow of Joseph Vincent Piazza, to whom she was married for 42 years. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Shannon Piazza Ferguson (Scott) and Christine Piazza Strong; 13 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The service will immediately follow visitation at noon in the church. Martha will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
