Andrew Joseph Russian Obituary

Andrew Joseph Russian, 52, of Mulberry, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021, at his residence in Mulberry. He was born in Danville, IL on July 8, 1969.  He graduated from Georgetown High School in Illinois in 1987 and continued his education at Illinois State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture.  In college, he was on the livestock judging team and excelled in showmanship of pigs. He married Michelle Strain and they later divorced.

For the past 20 years he had been working for Tate & Lyle in wastewater treatment.  He was a Union member and attended the Trinity Church of Mulberry.  His interests included hunting, fishing, and coaching baseball for his son’s team.  He also kept the books for his son’s 14U baseball recreational league. 

He is survived by his father, Ronald Joseph Russian (companion, Donna Ceader) of Georgetown, IL; mother, Claudia Jean (Stephen) Russian of Danville, IL; son, Wyatt Russian; and brother, Ronald Jay Russian of Rehoboth Beach, DE. 

Memorial visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the start of the memorial service at 2 pm on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at Genda Funeral Home, Rossville Chapel with Pastor Donna Enersen officiating.

Memorial contributions in Andrew’s honor may be made to Indiana 4-H Foundation, PO Box 3125, Indianapolis, IN 46206.  Write “Clinton County 4-H Scholarship in memory of Andrew Russian” in the check memo.
