<p>Reidsville,</p> <p>Billy Lee Jones, age 72, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2021, at Glenvue Health and Rehab in Glennville.&nbsp; He was born October 4, 1948, in Reidsville and lived in Tattnall County all his life.&nbsp; Mr. Billy was an US Army Veteran and worked at the Chicken House Restaurant, Claxton Manufacturer, Reidsville State Park and Holton&rsquo;s Pawn Shop.&nbsp; He enjoyed fishing and watching television.&nbsp; He is preceded in death by his parents, PR and Ruby Strickland Jones, his wife of 35 years, Alma Jones and a brother, Melvin Jones.</p> <p>He is survived by his son, Jason Jones of Reidsville; siblings, Joan Wellman of Reidsville, Janice (Steve) Cains of Augusta, and Willie Joe Jones of High Falls, GA; sister- in-law, Louise Jones of FL,&nbsp;several nieces and nephews.</p> <p>The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, beginning at 1:00pm with the funeral services to follow at 2:00pm from the Chapel of Low Country Cremation and Burial with Rev. Joseph Brock officiating.&nbsp; Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.</p> <p>Pallbearers will be James McKinley, Timothy Willoughby, Wesley Bowen, Morris Wilson, and Wendell Edwards.</p> <p>Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the Jones family.</p>

Im so sorry to hear about Billy. We grew up together as neighbors and cousins. He and my brother, Jerry, were the same age. We rode the same school bus and picked tobacco in the Summers. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May God Bless.
