<p>Mrs. Hazel &ldquo;Marie&rdquo; Smith age 83, of Rossville, GA, passed away on Thursday, September 23, 2021.</p> <p>Mrs. Smith was born in Kingsport, TN, on June 28, 1938, the daughter of the late Elmer James Templeton and Mildred M. Acres Templeton. She retired from River of Life Thrift Store after many years of service. Mrs. Smith was an avid TN Volunteer fan and enjoyed crafts and fishing.&nbsp; She loved Jesus and her grandbabies. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Eugene &ldquo;Sonny&rdquo; Smith; son, Michael Eugene Smith; two brothers, Bill and David Templeton; and two sisters, Betty Mercks and Lois Noe.</p> <p>Survivors include her three children, Connie Horton (Eddie), Russell James &ldquo;Rusty&rdquo; Smith (Brenda); and Janice &ldquo;Karen&rdquo; Qualls; grandchildren, Chip Horton, Brooke Horton, Travis Horton, Nathan Smith, Chase Smith, Brett Qualls, Tiffany Qualls May, Tessa Fleming, and Jordan Carr; great-grandchildren, Madison Horton, Riley Smedley, Daniel Smith, Hunter Dodd, Austin May, Madelyn May, Dalton May, Addilynn Horton, Axton Horton, Everleigh Horton, Maylee Qualls, Paisley Qualls, Weston Fleming, Silas Fleming, and Bayah Horton; great-great-granddaughter, Berkleigh Gentry; and a sister, Peggy Wayland (Teddy).
