Joseph Stanton Adams, 65, of Cleburne, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Cleburne. He was born on August 04, 1956, in Picayune, Mississippi to Walter Joseph and Jewel Christine (Delk) Adams. He married Jerilyn Giles on December 31, 1974, in Millington, Tennessee. He retired from the Navy after 20 years of service, serving in the Persian Gulf War and was an aviation electrician and quote specialist for Mouser Electronics for over 15 years. He was of the Southern Baptist faith. Joseph had a strong will and independent streak. He believed in speaking his mind; you never had to wonder where you stood. He enjoyed searching for treasures at trade events. Joseph adored his grandchildren, who brought great joy to his world. He will be remembered with fond stories for years to come. Joseph is survived by his wife of 47 years, Jerilyn Adams; sons, Robert Adams and wife Megin and Joseph Adams and wife Margaret; grandchildren, Laura, Dylan, R.J., Preston, Chase, Sohpialyn, Zoe and Alaiyah; brother, Phil Adams and wife Stephanie; nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Caleb and brother, Stuart Adams. An inurnment service will be conducted at a later date at DFW National Cemetery.
