Tong Seng Vang

<p>Tong Seng Vang, age 74, of St. Paul, formerly of Laos, passed away on September 17, 2021. Tong peacefully went to be with his Lord after a long struggle with kidney and congestive heart failure.</p> <p><br /> Tong was preceded in death by his loving wife Yeng Vang; his parents; Cher Lue Vang and Yer Lo; his sister Yer Vang Thao; and sister in law Mrs. Va Yee Vang. Tong leaves behind Mr. and Mrs Ntxoov Wa Vang, and Mr. Wang Pao Thao; his children, Bao Vang; Tou Ngia Su Vang and Zong Yang Vang; Yuset Vang and Pang Yang; PangKao Shayea Vang and Jean Yang Vang; and sixteen grandchildren: Isabelle and Riley Saephanh; Elijah, Kevin, Kaitlyn, and Leah Vang; Lily, Anne, Vanessa, Troy, and Levi Vang; Jenise, Aaron, Timothy, and Lucas Vang. Tong has five brothers and one sister. Tong is the beloved brother of Va Yee Vang (CA), Mr and Mrs. True Vang (CA), Mr and Mrs. Youa Tong Vang (NC); and his many beloved nieces and nephews.</p> <p><br /> Tong fought in the Secret War in Laos and achieved the rank of Captain in the Special Guerilla Unit (SGU). After the Secret War ended, Tong&#39;s family fled to Thailand. By the grace of God, Tong and his family were sponsored to come to America in August of 1976 to Houghton, New York. In 1979, Tong and his family moved to Detroit, Michigan, where his children still reside to this day. After the death of his beloved wife, Yeng Vang, Tong remarried in 2018 to Eneng Xiong (MN). In 2020, Tong was diagnosed with congestive heart failure along with Stage 4 kidney disease. In 2021, we were blessed to have our father with us for an additional nine months until he passed peacefully to be with his Lord.</p> <p>A Visitation will be held for Tong on Saturday, October 2, from 1PM-5PM, at Bradshaw (1078 Rice Street).</p> <p>Memorials to family.&nbsp;</p>
