James Gregg Campbell Obituary

Mr. James Campbell was born on July 21, 1949, in Limestone County, Alabama. He was a member of Truth Baptist Church. He loved watching and attending Alabama football games. When he was home he loved spending time with his babies Pepe, Missy and Buddy. He also loved carpentry and building outdoor furniture, camping with his “Little Lady”, but most of all he loved spending time with all of his family. Mr. James Campbell was preceded in death by his father, Woodard Campbell; his mother, Elaine Campbell; his brother, Joe Campbell; two sisters, Martha Jane Campbell, and Betty Ruth Campbell. Mr. James Campbell went home to be with the Lord on September 21, 2021 at the age of 72. He leaves to cherish his memory: a wife, Wanda Campbell; three sisters, Barbara Allen, Tina Griffin and Mary Elizabeth Penrod; two brothers, Steve Campbell and Tim Campbell; sisters-in-law, Lona May (Steven) and Fran Campbell; Their Girls – Jaime Young, Julia Lawhorn, Kim Carr, Renee Townsend, Molly McCrary and Kira Miller; Their Boys – Heath Davis, Troy Davis, Preston Carr and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday September 24th, 2021 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Service will be Saturday September 25th, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Truth Baptist Church. The body will lie in state from 12 p.m. until 1:50 p.m at the church. Burial will be in Hester’s Chapel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heath Davis, Troy Davis, Preston Carr, Daniel Lawhorn, Caleb McCrary, and Cody Arra. Honorary Pallbearer will be Hunter Fitts
