Daniel H. Eick

On September 22, 2021, Dan entered his heavenly home at age 60, and now rests in the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ. Loving, kind, and caring angel and husband of 35 years to Susan (Weiss) Eick. Proud, loved, and cherished father of Stephen Eick and Joseph (Anne) Eick. Dear son of Janice and Harold Eick. Brother to David (Dana) Eick and Susan Eick (Phil Hardy), nieces Lili and Bo. Caring godfather to Ali and Raquel. Preceded in eternal life by in-laws George and Anna Weiss and sister-in-law Katherine Weiss, who selflessly cared for him. Dan will be dearly missed by family and friends, especially Kev, Julie, Mike, Bob, Dan, and Leo. Many thanks to Pastors Joel Leyrer and Eric Schroeder, who provided Dan spiritual support, and Cara, who helped care for Dan. Dan was born July 5th, 1961, baptized at St. Jacobi Lutheran Church, and confirmed at St. Lucas Lutheran Church. Dan graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran High School in 1979, married Sue at St. Lucas on November 2nd, 1985, and actively served at St. John’s Lutheran in Wauwatosa for many years. Dan worked at the Medical College of Wisconsin in high school alongside his dad. He ran the Instrument Shop at the LSU Eye Center in New Orleans, working on cutting-edge research with Drs. Stephen Klyce and Marguerite McDonald. While at LSU, he was honored to work on the Excimer Laser project, which is widely known today as Lasik. For the last 25 years, Dan ran Northern Instrument, providing computer services and consulting across Wisconsin. Dan enjoyed his time as DJ on 91.7 WMSE in the early 80’s with Bob Donnelly. Dan truly loved music, especially New Wave. He cheered on Wisconsin and Louisiana sports teams, and most recently the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Dan wishes all to stand up for your beliefs, embrace your faith, and always be helpful and kind to all. Dan’s Christian Victory Service will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 10:30 am at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church, 7809 Harwood Ave., Wauwatosa, WI. Visitation from 9:00 until time of service. Parking will be limited due to church and community events. Private internment will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials desired to St. John’s Wauwatosa or Wisconsin Lutheran High School.
