NEW ZION – Daniel “Danny” Brunson Epps, Jr., 74, husband of Elizabeth “Libby” Rhunette Yates Epps, died Wednesday, September 22, 2021, at his home. Born May 18, 1947, in Kingstree, he was a son of the late Daniel Brunson Epps, Sr. and the late Willie Ellen Fulton Epps. He was a retired service manager for Prothro Chevrolet and a member of McKenzie Tabernacle. He is survived by his wife of New Zion; three sons, Daniel Bradley Epps (Jennifer) of New Zion, Jonathan Wyatt Epps (Tanja) of Texas and Joshua Yates Epps of New Zion; a daughter, Mary Elizabeth Epps of Illinois; three grandchildren; a sister, Annie Epps McElveen of Lake City; and a brother, Thomas Fulton Epps of New Zion. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with Elder Wendell Robinson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 1 to 2 p.m. at Stephens Funeral Home.
