Margott Erika Bauer -Geb Parnitzke

Margott Erika Bauer-Geb Parnitzke, Berlin, Germany, age 79, passed away peacefully of Alzheimer’s disease at 1:30 am on Saturday, September 18, 2021, in LaVergne, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Walter Karl Parnitzke and Erica Parnitzke (Geb Stibe). She was preceded in death by her older brother Karl Heinz Parnitzke, older sister Ingrid Hoch and younger sister Erica Grupp. Margott is survived by her two children-Ray Henry (Tina) Bauer of LaVergne, Tennessee and Michelle Andrea Bauer of Nashville, Tennessee. She was married to Carl John Bauer III for 25 years. Margott was born in Berlin, Germany and was educated in fashion design and created and produced all of her own clothes (most stunning). Often she would identify new trends at least a year ahead of the market. She produced a fashion show at the Sheraton Hotel while living in Kuwait, including training and managing the models. Margott was a hard worker and always engaged in a project. Once she installed a hardwood floor in her home in Tennessee, spent hours creating needlepoint cloths and carpets. She and her family lived in Germany, USA, Kuwait and Bahrain where she was active socially and had many close friends. Her dinner parties were famous that included dishes such as Baked Alaska. She even learned to play golf while in Kuwait and participated in weekly competitions. She was awarded the John Burrows award at Bucksands Golf Club in Kuwait for her good attitude despite just learning the game. She loved to dance and did so right up to the end. Her son Ray and his wife Tina looked after Margott at their home in LaVergne. She is in God’s hands now and is in a better place. She was loved and will be missed. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
