Carol Jean Ouellette Millinocket, Maine Obituary

Carol Jean Ouellette

Lincoln – Carol Jean Ouellette, 82, wife of Milton Joseph Ouellette Sr., passed away September 18, 2021 at Redington Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan. She was born August 29, 1939 in Bangor Maine, the daughter of Harold L. and Elzora V. (Wing) LeClair Sr. Carol was a valued employee of PVH in Lincoln for over 20 years. She was most known for her love of family, her playful spirit, and her hugs; her hugs were abundant wherever she went. As the matriarch of our family, she taught us the value of unconditional love, the importance of family and celebrating all of our strengths, and to be there for each other. She was a strong presence in all of her children and grandchildren’s lives, and never hesitated to offer a helping hand. She loved spending time at her camp on Cambolasse Pond, and never missed an opportunity to notice beauty in the world. She enjoyed kayaking, working in her flower gardens, and feeding the hummingbirds. In her younger days she was quite the traveler, making annual trips to PEI with the “Golden Girls”, and even traveling as far as Hawaii and Africa! Where there was fun to be had, she was in the middle of it, if not instigating it! Family gatherings were some of her favorite times to cause mischief – family were always on the look out for food fights and pranks! Everyone who knew Carol loved her. Carol is survived by two children, Linda Pooler, Sandra Leonard and Sheldon; siblings Lorraine Tuck and Richard, Mina Burr, Shirley Bouchard, Andy LeClair and Laurie; treasured grandchildren Shane Davis and Susan, Heather Ouellette, Corey Jimmo and Maryann, Leon Ouellette and Melissa, Adam Pooler and Charity, Gabriel Ouellette and Amanda, Megan Johnson and Lukas, Hailey Jones and Justin, Cassidy Ouellette and Carlita, Justin Galiher and Stephanie, and Jordyn Leonard; great-grandchildren Alexis Davis, Matthew Davis, Tysen Libby, Tressa Libby, Katey Libby, Matthew Ouellette, Levi Short, June Ouellette, Mia Johnson, Kadence Johnson, Piper Johnson, Paul Godfrey, Brenton Godfrey, Lily Galiher, and Connor Galiher. Predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Joe of 53 years, sons Paul Ouellette and Milton J. Ouellette Jr., brother Harold LeClair Jr. and wife Doris, and many cherished friends including her best friend and partner in crime Joyce Oliver. Due to current circumstances, Carol’s family will be privately celebrating her life at her camp, her Happy Place. Those who wish may donate in her memory to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Clay Chapel, Lincoln. Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.lamsonfh.com.
