KATHLEEN, GA- Deathra “Dea” Ria McGee, 71, passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021. A private family service will be held in South Carolina on a later date. Dea was born August 21, 1950 in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Frampton and Marie Bailey. She retired from the Medical Center of Central Georgia as an EKG Technician. Dea enjoyed spending time outdoors, usually horseback riding or fishing. She enjoyed the company of family, friends, and especially her pet cats and dogs. Dea was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and everyone who knew her will miss her. In addition to her parents, her sisters Patricia Brunson and Louise Rhom precede her in death. Dea is survived by her husband of 13 years, Christopher McGee; two daughters: Ginna (Cecil) Morris and Maranda (Daniel) Tennent; and three grandchildren: Sarah, Emily, and Cameron; Sisters: Linda Deas, Kathleen “Bunny” Ranchich, Fay Pitts and Frances Lockridge; Father & Mother in-law, Mickey & Donna McGee; Sister in-law, Tracy Flores; Brother in-law, Robert (Charlotte) McGee; Nieces and Nephews: Hayleigh, Jackson, Dawn (Paul), Stephen, and Matthew.
