David Lee Skirvin, 74 of Inglis, FL, formerly of Worthville, KY, died on Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Owenton Manor in Owenton, KY.
He was born on November 26, 1946, in Carrollton, Carroll County, KY, the son of late Chester Skirvin and Emma Eves Skirvin. He had served his Country Honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. David had retired from the Dow Corning Chemical Company in Carrollton having worked in the Maintenance Department. He was a member of the AMVETS Post #447, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #8698, both in Inglis, FL, and the American Legion Post #41 in Carrollton.
David is survived by a son, Chris Skirvin and his wife, Christina of Austin, TX, a stepdaughter, Becky Howard Gemmer of Tampa, FL, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Constance “Connie” Skirvin, a daughter, Leonda Carol Smith, a stepson, LeRoy Howard, two brothers, Orville Brown Skirvin and Curtis Calvin Skirvin, a sister, Lilly Katherine Skirvin and a great grandchild.
Military Honors will be presented by the Carrollton American Legion Post #41 on Monday, September 27, 2021, at the funeral home following the Memorial Service.
