<p>Debra Lynn Downey, 55 of South Pittsburg, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 20th, 2021 in a local hospital.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Debra was born in Chattanooga, TN, raised in Trenton, GA, and graduated in the 1984 class of Dade County High School. She was a Christian and was a talented care giver for many years. Debra enjoyed going for rides in the county and relaxing on her float at the lake. Being at the lake was Debra&rsquo;s happy place and she loved every minute they spent there. Her passion in life was her son Haven whom she loved dearly.&nbsp; Debra had a big personality; she was always bright, happy, and friendly. She never met a stranger and will always be remembered for her willingness to help anyone. Debra is deeply loved and will be dearly missed.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Debra was preceded in death by her father, Frank Thompson and mother, &ldquo;Red&rdquo; Wooten; brother, Danny Derryberry; uncle and aunt, William and Joy Derryberry.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Survivors include her husband of 26 years, Jimmy Downey, II; son, Haven Dakota Downey; parents-in-law, &ldquo;Pop&rdquo; and &ldquo;Gram&rdquo; Downey; siblings-in-law, Tommy Downey, Ronnie (Liz) Downey, and Pennie Downey; 13 nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family members.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Condolences may be shared at lane-southcrestchapel.com</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 25th, 2021 from 4-8pm in the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home &amp; Crematory, Rossville.</p>
