Mr. Billy Wayne Reese, 63, Thomson, Georgia, entered into rest on September 20, 2021.

Billy Wayne was born in Augusta, Georgia on July 30, 1958, grew up in Stapleton, and settled in Thomson, where he lived most of his life and spent his final years.  He loved his dogs, motorcycles, fast cars, woodworking and especially loved his family and friends.

Mr. Reese is preceded in death by his father, John Reese. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Kitchens Reese; his loving wife, Rebecca Bales Reese; his sons, Kevin Reese, Jerry Meeks, Trey Franks (Wendy) and Jason Franks (Tiffany); his daughters, Sonia McClure (Larry), Misty Neal, and Roxanne Scrum (Jon); his brothers, John Reese (Pam), Charles Reese and Mike Reese; his sisters, Wanda Boatwright and Brenda Screws (Thomas) and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Mr. Reese’s Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 26, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Beggs Funeral Home Chapel, 799 Cobbham Road, Thomson, Georgia with visitation being held at 1:00 p.m., one hour before the service at Beggs Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.  The pallbearers for the service are Troy Bales, Jason Franks, Trey Franks, Larry McClure, Ashton Neal, and Mike Reese.  Please visit www.beggsfuneralhome.net to sign the family’s personal guestbook.
