Vida Short

It is with great sadness that the family of Vida Short announces her passing at her residence at Hermitage on Sunday, September 19, 2021, age 77 years of Hermitage. Vida leaves to mourn her loving family: husband, Eli, 59 years married; sons, Stephen Short and Preston Short, both at Hermitage; daughter, Angela Cormier (Gary) at New Brunswick; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; sister, Doris Pye at St. John’s; brothers, Clyde Hillier at Grand Bank and Harold Hillier (Marie) at C.B.S.; sister in law, Marie Hillier; as well as a circle of other relatives and friends. Predeceased by brothers, John Hillier, Angus Hillier and Cyril Hillier; sisters, Hazel Stead and Grace Mullett. Visitation took place at St. Saviour’s Haven at Hermitage on Monday, September 27 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. COVID-19 regulations were followed. Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 1:00 pm at St. Saviour’s Anglican Church at Hermitage with Rev. Robynn Toal officiating.
