Raymond Dewayne Howell, 56, of Chattanooga passed away Sunday, September 19, 2021 at a local hospital from Covid 19.  Dewayne was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a graduate of Unity Christian School.  He was a lifelong member of First Bible Methodist Church, worked for Goodwill on Dodds Ave. for over 31 years, and he also worked for Tennessee Sling for 10 years. Dewayne enjoyed walking around Rossville Blvd, 23rd Street, and Downtown meeting and talking to everyone and eating at the different restaurants.  He loved the Lord, his family, and loved all kinds of cars.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Howell.

Survivors include his mother, Nancy Howell; sister, Sharon (Wayne) Holbert; best friends, Harrison Hopson and Philip Smith; his cat, Rosie; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family requests that mask be worn for all services.  The family would also like to encourage everyone to get vaccinated in order to beat this horrible virus.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, September 27th at 1:00p.m. at First Bible Methodist Church 2205 E 36th St, Chattanooga, TN 37407 with Brother Robert Cravens officiating. 

Interment will follow in the Lakewood South Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Monday from 11:00a.m. until the funeral hour at the Church.
