Gerald Dean Stevens Obituary

Gerald Dean Pierce Stevens was born in San Saba Texas to George Dea and Edna Conradt Pierce on November 26, 1933. She was born into eternity on September 17, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son that was stillborn in 1963, and husband, B. B. Stevens. They were married for nearly 60 years. She is survived by her daughter Stephany Ann (Stevie) Stevens of Haltom City; her son Brad B. Stevens and his wife Terri of Cleburne and their three children Heather, Joshua and Caleb; great grandson Kayden of Cleburne, sister Joyce Rainey and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Mom (Jerry) was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, secretary, Bible School teacher, wife of a Gospelaire, and one of the “keepers of the table” with the other Gospelaires’ wives. She worked in the Cleburne School District for 30 years at Santa Fe and was “Mimi” to hundreds of children over the years. She would freely pass out hugs, bandaids, and kisses for innumerable boo boos. She taught Cradle Roll at Central Church of Christ for over 30 years. Some of you were probably in her class or remember her from Santa Fe. I don’t have time to cover the other roles that Mom filled. Preachers wife, Elder’s wife, friend, mentor, role model: we would be here all day. These roles are summarized in Proverbs 30:10-29. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Foster’s Home for Children, 1779 North Graham Street, Stephenville, Texas, 76401 or Our Fathers Children, 6250 N E Loop 820, in N Richland Hills, Tx 76180.
