Mr. Leroy Henry Palmer, Sr. transition from his earthly home to eternal rest on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the St. Frances Xavier Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina at the age of 89. He was born in Savannah, GA on May 27, 1932, to Mr. Earl Palmer and Mrs. Rosa Lee Palmer.
Leroy served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired from the New York Transit Authority. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
Surviving is his wife Wanda B. Palmer; daughters, Syteria P. Curtis, Celeste Palmer, Susan (Michael) Van Brackle and Tracy Palmer all of New York City, NY and Adriane Johnson-Williams of Charleston, SC; son Robert (Cecelia) Dawson of Long Island, NY; sister Izetta Mansfield of Chester, VA, 13 grands, 27 great-grands, nieces and nephews.
