Steven Allen Adams Chicago, Illinois Obituary

Steven Allen Adams

Steven Allen Adams Steve was kind, curious, smart and quirky. He loved the Bears and the Cubs. Living close to Wrigley, we would walk to Cubs games. He would go for walks every day, walking along the Lake or to Lincoln Park. He was a movie and film director connoisseur, maintaining notes on his favorite movies, directors and movie lines. We would go to movies and discuss them afterwards at a nearby restaurant. He enjoyed meeting us at Oak Street Beach to watch the Air Show and going to the Field Museum to see the Terra Cotta Warriors. He was an avid reader of American history and politics. Growing up, he loved Elton John and “Tommy – the Pinball Wizard” by the Who. Steve worked as an International Transaction Banker. After he retired, he liked to analyze stocks and experiment with lottery tickets. He always voted and he was a regular blood donor. When Val died, he was an immense help to me in cleaning Val’s condo and packing/moving her possessions. I will greatly miss our conversations and our outings. Steve was pre-deceased by his grandparents, parents and sister Val. He is survived by his brother John (and wife Linda), nephew Erik, sister Jude, niece Allison and nephew Andrew. A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 8th at 10 am at Beverly Cemetery located at 12000 S. Kedzie Blue Island, IL. Steve will be buried with his family (Section 9 Lot 320). In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Lakeview Pantry which provides food, mental wellness services and social services to Steve’s community. They are located at 3945 N. Sheridan Rd. Chicago, IL 60613 with phone number (773) 525-1777.
