David Roy Brookover

David R. Brookover, Sr (Butch) 67 of Newport, went to be with his Lord and savior Saturday, September 18th at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 15, 1953 to the late Charles and Betty (Groves) Brookover. He was a 1972 graduate of Frontier high school. He drove truck for Gabbert Cullet Company for 31 years. Butch lived for time with his children and grand babies. He enjoyed being in the woods and the cry of a good coon dog. He was funny, loyal and so full of love. He is survived by his three daughters Felicia (Steve) Donald, Brandy (Noah) Archer, Jessica (Joe) Felter, son Dave Brookover, eight granddaughters Bianca, Whitney, Marissa, Delaney, Sayda, McKenzie, Isabella, Casey and his only grandson Walter. His Brother Paul (Tub) Brookover and his sister Linda(Sis) (Randy) Beaver and multiple nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Danny (Birdie) Brookover. The family wishes to thank all the hardworking healthcare professionals at Marietta Memorial Hospital. We also want to add a very special thank you to Jennifer Reynolds for going above and beyond her job. Funeral services will be held at 6 PM Wednesday, September 22nd at Hadley Funeral Home Reno Chapel, 1021 Pike St., Marietta, OH with visitation from 4 PM until the time of service.
