Colleen Goehring, 58, of Webster, SD, passed away on Friday, September 17, 2021, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 9th, 2021, at 3:00 P.M. at the VFW in Webster, SD. Colleen T. (Dunne) Goehring was born in Rugby, ND on February 25, 1963 to Shirley (Eikanas) and Richard Dunne. She attended schools in Huron, SD, Valley City, ND, Jackson, WY, and Lead, SD before graduating High School in 1981 from Webster (SD) High School. Colleen married Kent Geffre in May of 1982 in the Black Hills and gave birth to her first daughter, Sarah, in November, 1982. She and Kent then divorced in 1983. She and her significant other, Forrest Grimes, welcomed another daughter, Alyssa, in September 1989. On July 15, 1995, Colleen married the love of her life, Chad Goehring, in the Black Hills, where they lived with their girls for many years. They then moved to Red Wing, MN and eventually moved back to Webster, SD where they made their final home. Her husband, daughters and grandson were the center of her universe. Colleen spent her adult years working in the retail and service industry. Whichever position she held, from bartender to clerk to manager, she loved interacting with and helping her customers. She worked hard with a smile on her face wherever she was. Her upbeat attitude and desire to do her best for her customers allowed her to make true friends everywhere she went. Colleen lived life to its fullest, always giving 100% to whatever she did. When a family member or friend called with a need, she dropped everything and rushed to help, no questions asked. If they were wronged, she came out swinging. A loved one probably put it best: " She had a laugh that was infectious and gave advice you'd regret not taking. She loved with her whole being and raged like a storm." Colleen is survived by her husband, Chad Goehring, Webster, SD; daughters Sarah (Derek) Bonser, Red Wing, MN and Alyssa (Keith) Grimes, Red Wing, MN; the little love of her life, grandson Easton Bonser, Red Wing, MN; sister, Sheri Dunne Vitullo, Newport, MN; brothers Rick (Anne) Dunne, Rapid City, SD and Michael (Lorie) Dunne, Britton, SD; step-mother, Sherri Harris Dunne, Rapid City, SD; step-sisters Michelle Pulling, Fargo, ND and Melissa (Bryan) Miligan, Rapid City, SD; step-brother, John (Julie) Harris, Trout Creek, MT; nephews, Joe (Colleen) Dunne, Cottage Grove, MN and Chris (Jackie) Vitullo, Apple Valley, MN and Chris (Jeneva) Anderson, Webster, SD; nieces Candace Jean, Lacrosse, WI and Jessica (Casey) Whitney, Custer, SD; In-laws, Miles and Betty Goehring, Seabring, FL; brother-in-law Paul Anderson of Hill City, SD; and several great nieces and nephews. Preceding Colleen in death were her parents, Shirley Eikanas and Richard F. Dunne; a sister-in-law, Dawn Anderson; loved ones, Kent Geffre, Forrest Grimes and Amy Youle; and many other relatives and friends.
