Phyllis Theresa Nelson Juneau, Alaska Obituary

Phyllis Theresa Nelson

Phyllis Theresa Nelson, age 32, walked into the forest September 5, 2021 unexpectedly. She was born May 15, 1989 to Georgina D. Greuwell and David A. Nelson. Phyllis was a Juneau resident her whole life and will be missed by everyone she loved. She was preceded in death by her father David A. Nelson, grandmother Phyllis Nauska, grandfather Fredrick Nauska and George Martin Sr. Aunts Deanna Jackson. Angela James, Edna Ettinger and Patricia Erfurt. She is survived by mother Georgina Gruwell, sister Chelcea Nelson, Brother David C. Nelson aunt Camille Cooper Barbra Nauska, Uncle Fredrick Nauska Jr. “Don’t grieve for me, for now I am free. I am following the path God laid out for me. I took his hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stain another day- to laugh, love, work or to play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. If my parting has left a void then fill it with remembered Joy a friendship shared a laugh or a kiss. These things I too will miss. Perhaps my time seemed all to brief, don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me for God wanted you to know he set me free.”
