Todd M Alley Obituary

Todd Michael Alley, 51, passed away at his home in Jonesport on September 16, 2021 after a courageous battle against cancer. Todd was born March 23, 1970.

He is survived by his parents, John and Laura (Pratt), wife, Sandy (Farnsworth), son, Travis Dwayne, daughter, Bayleigh Elizabeth, sister, Tricia Lynn and “brother in-law,” Jimmie Neal. He is also survived by his in-laws, Paul and Jeanne Farnsworth, sister in-law, Renee Pray, brother in-law, PJ Farnsworth and wife, Michele, a very close cousin, Amy Lynn, husband, Shane and Evan. He was a proud uncle to Madison Mackenzie, Camdyn Harlie, James David, Eliza Jane and Fabian Paul. He is also survived by his best buddies Dean and wife, Terri, Brad and wife, Shannon, high school running mate Chris, his fun consultant Joe and wife, Belinda and many, many brothers, hunting partners, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Todd was a very loving member of the “Trynor Square Brats”. Many memories were made with the multiple “brothers and sisters” he grew up with. From the Skinners’ Easter Egg hunts to unlimited games of all types, Todd was always out and about around the square with his “family.”

Todd attended Jonesport-Beals High School and graduated in 1988 with classmates that were family. Todd enjoyed their reunions (held every five years) and staying connected with everyone. He attended two years at Washington County Community College to study plumbing and heating, during which he started working at J.L. Huntley, Inc. Todd continued his employment there for more than thirty years until his illness progressed forcing him to resign. His boss, Jeff, believed in Todd and his abilities from the start and continued to support Todd even during his illness. Todd worked to help many friends and family right until his passing.

Todd, following in his maternal grandfather’s footsteps, became a member of the Jonesport Lodge #188 in 1999. He was a faithful member of Anah Shriners since 2008 when he promptly joined the Anah Shrine Mini-Car Unit. He cared deeply for the unit and served as captain for several years. Todd served as president of the Washington County Shrine Club and then was a member of the Anah Greeters. In 2018, Todd joined the Divan of Anah Shrine when Illustrious Sir Brad Prout appointed him as Outer Guard. Todd proudly stood in line fulfilling duties as he awaited to become Potentate in 2027.

Todd was an avid outdoorsman and a fierce hunter. He was willing to talk for hours if you knew anything about hunting. His excitement for getting the big one was evident in every story he told (and there were many). Todd took pride in the hunting skills he had learned from Grampie Mac and was always excited to head to Gramp’s Camp, Papa’s Stand or The Beer Den as soon as he could.

Besides hunting, Todd was also known as a dedicated coach and friend to his “boys” and the JBHS soccer team.

Todd enjoyed playing tricks and aggravating anyone at any age. If he could make you laugh, his goal was achieved.

Todd was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Malcom and Frances (Alley) Pratt, paternal grandparents Leo and Ernestine (Bryant) Alley, uncles Gary Pratt, Joey Alley, Dwayne Alley.

Funeral services will be held 1pm Sunday Oct. 10th at the Jonesport-Beals High School soccer field . Please bring a sideline chair and all of your memories of Todd to share publicly or privately with the family.

Donations in Todd’s name can be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children and mailed to Anah Shriners, 1404 Broadway, Bangor.
