CORDELE – Jerry Lee Christmas, 71, passed away Wednesday, Sept 15, 2021. Funeral Services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 in the chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. The family will receive friends starting at 2 p.m. before the service. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, masks are recommended and social distancing should be maintained. Mr. Christmas was born in Crisp County to Sara Persall Christmas and the late Herbert Lee Christmas. He is also preceded in death by his brother Gary Herbert Christmas. He was a retired area field manager for Uhaul. He was a member of the Hatley United Methodist Church. He was an outdoorsman, enjoying farming, hunting, and horses. He is survived by his son: Kevin Lee Christmas of Hatley; his mother: Sara Persall Christmas of Hatley, his grandson: Jared Lee Christmas; and an uncle: Charlie Persall.
