<p style="text-align: justify;">Bernadell J. Parker, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away at The Pendle Home on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at the age of 100.&nbsp; She was born in South Bend on June 19, 1921 to Benjamin Reeves and Mardell (Miller) Anderson.&nbsp; Bernadell was a graduate of Riley High School and went on to work as a secretary for Reliance/Dodges Electric Company where she retired in 1982 after 25 years.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Bernie was raised in South Bend and in 1956, her family moved to a farm in Madison Township to raise their family.&nbsp; She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and attended St. John&rsquo;s Church of Christ.&nbsp; She had a love of shopping and enjoyed spending the winters in Venice, FL.&nbsp;</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">On June 23, 1945 in South Bend, Bernadell was united in marriage to Marvin R. Parker, who preceded her in death on August 7, 2003.&nbsp; From that union they had two wonderful daughters.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Parker of Elkhart, Indiana and Mary Jo (Ted) Tschirhart of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren, Wendy Linton of Dayton, Ohio and Greg Linton of Orland Park, Kansas; three great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.&nbsp; Bernadell was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Reeves and Mardell (Miller) Anderson; her husband, Marvin R. Parker; and her brother, Clinton Anderson.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The Pendle Home for their wonderful care of Bernie.&nbsp; The family atmosphere they provided, along with the Filipino food, and the hair clips they gave made her time there very special.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">A Celebration of Life will be held in Venice, Florida at a later date.&nbsp; Palmer Funeral Home &ndash; River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Memorial contributions may be given to Habitat for Humanity, 402 E. Bernadell J.
