Ronald F. Seedorf Obituary

Ronald Frederick Seedorf was received peacefully into our Savior’s gentle hands on Tuesday September 7, 2021. Ron was 87 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Maida, his two brothers Marty and Jim; two daughters Rhonda and Candy, a son Ronnie who preceded Ron in death; three sons, Bill, Bob and Donald; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; along with numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces, friends and colleagues. He was preceded in death by his parents, Johannes Martin Frederick Seedorf and Bessie Johnson. Ron was born in Spokane, Washington on April 8, 1934. He graduated from North Central High School in Spokane in 1952 and attended the University of Idaho for two years where he received his Associates degree. He attended boot camp in 1952 at the Naval Training Center in San Diego and subsequently served on the USS Bayfield, USS Pickaway, USS Sculpin, USS Sperry, USS Nereus, USS Simon Lake and USS Holland. Ron was a submariner. His tours included service time in San Diego, Bangor, Rota, Spain, and the Holy Loch, Scotland. Ron retired from the Navy in 1980 after 28 years of service. We will have a celebration of Ron’s life on October 29, 2021 at The Stone Chapel “Poulsbo Mortuary”, 22272 Foss Rd NE, Poulsbo, WA 98370. The celebration will be led by Chaplain Dave Dinkins beginning at 11am. A reception will follow at the Chapel with light food and drinks.
