Charles G. Cahill

Charles G. Cahill, 91, AKA Charlie, AKA Bill, passed away peacefully at the UVM Medical Center on Wednesday September 15, 2021. He was born December 12, 1929 in Easton, Maine. Charlie served in the USAF from 1952-1958.

Charlie was involved in community service and local politics in his early years, and he loved to debate issues with his conservative family members. He was a dedicated Red Sox and Patriots fan, and he was able to enjoy visiting Fenway Park in recent years.

Charlie was a dedicated and caring husband and father. He enjoyed skiing and golfing and trips to visit family. He was a very techy 91 year old with all the up to date iPhones and computers. He loved investing in the stock market as well.

He was predeceased by his wife Ann, of 52 years, in 2011, his brother Tom Cahill and his sisters Margarite Brown, Sandra Richards and Judy Tame. He is survived by his two sons Charles, Jr. and Gary, his three grandchildren Angela, Liza and Alex and his two sisters Mary Feeney and Christine Shuman, her husband Chuck and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at St Mark’s Catholic Church 1251 North Avenue, Burlington, VT Saturday, September 18th at 10:00. Light reception to follow.
