Walter R. Schenberger

Walter R. Schenberger, of National Park, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was 78. Legacy Born and raised in Camden, Walt graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School. He worked for Exxon/Mobil in Paulsboro as a Boilermaker for more than 30 years until his retirement in 2005. Walt met and married Gerry Hughes and together they shared 38 years of marriage. Away from work, Walt enjoyed riding his motorcycle, keeping up on History and the latest world news and working on his home. Walt was the type of man who always had a plan for whatever he did and believed in dong things right. He will be missed by al who knew and loved him. Family Walt is the beloved husband of Gerry (nee Burke); loving father of,Walter (Takako) Schenberger, Jr., Mark Schenberger, Richard,(Kim)Hughes, Danny (Betty Ann) Hughes, & Kelly Murphy; dear brother of Robert, Isabell, Sally & the late John; grandfather of 16; great grandfather of 1. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend Walt's viewing on Sunday, September 19, 2021 after 4 PM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury where his Funeral Ceremony will follow at 6:00 PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
