Anne Marie Day
<p>Anne Marie (Grucza) Day, age 87, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 peacefully in her sleep. She was born November 16, 1933, in Erie, PA daughter of the late Francis and Gertrude (Seelinger) Grucza. Anne graduated from Strong Vincent High School and went on to receive her nursing diploma from St. Vincent School of Nursing in Erie in 1955. She married her husband Donald October 22, 1955. They have five children. She worked as an RN in many different places until she retired at age 74. She enjoyed knitting, playing bridge, gardening, hiking at High Cliff State Park and spending time with her family.</p> <p>Anne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald; her children, Roberta(Nate) Selle, Diane(Mike) Luttmann, John (special friend Jeanne Laux), Kathleen Hyman and Darcy Pierson, grandchildren, Melissa(Kyle) Petersen, Amanda Hyman, Andrew Pierson and Lauren Pierson and great grandson, Vincent Ignatius Petersen and her brother David Grucza. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.</p> <p>She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings, Warren, William, Jean, Martha, James and Francis and a son-in-law Warren Pierson. And sisters in law Molly, Dorothy and brother in law Eugene.</p> <p>The funeral service for Anne will be held at St. Pius X on Saturday, September 18, 2021 @ 11:30. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 10am until the time of service. Following the Service a luncheon will be held at Valley Funeral Home in the Tauber Family Center, 2211 N. Richmond St Appleton WI 54911.</p> <p>In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.</p>November 16, 1933 - September 15, 202111/16/193309/15/2021
