Nina Ruth Fain

Nina Ruth Fain, of Roanoke formerly of Haysi passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2015. She loved to cook but her greatest joy was her family. Nina was retired from Roanoke Regional Office, Department of Veterans Affairs. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ellis and Vergie Compton. Nina is survived by her husband of 55 years, Talmidge "Tammy" Fain; two daughters, Tamra R. Fain, Myra L. LaPrade and her husband, Darryl; two grandchildren, Nathanial Christian LaPrade, Isabelle Nicole LaPrade; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy and Don Adkins, Helen and Chuck Kane, Gloria and Norm Breakey, Deborah and Danny Hill; brother and sister-in-law, Larry Ronald and Deborah Compton; uncle, Trinkle Deel; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 5 until 7 p.m. at Oakey's South Chapel.
