On August 31, 2021 at the age of 74, God sent his Angels to guide his child to her Heavenly Home. Audrey was a graduate of George Washington Carver Sr. High School, Class of “65”. She furthered her education by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southern University New Orleans and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Tulane University. Prior to retirement, she was a Social Worker with Orleans Parish School Board and the State of Louisiana. Audrey leaves to cherish her memories, her devoted and loving husband of 48 years Alvin Hadley, 2 loving sons Alvin N.Hadley (Courtney) and Adrian R. Hadley, Sr. (Chivon), her only surviving sibling, her sister Dianne S. Jones, 4 grandchildren Rahsaan, Adrian, Jr. & Aurora Hadley, Tyler Hills-Gordon (William Sr.), 1 great grandson William D. Gordon, Jr., her grand puppy Egypt Hadley, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Audrey is preceded in death by her parents Edward and Lucille Stevenson, 1 sister Delores S.G. Antoine, 2 brothers Jimmie and Larry Stevenson, 1 nephew Rickey (Money) Gettridge. Relatives and friends of the family, Orleans Parish School Board, State of Louisiana Social Workers, Pastors and Members of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church, Pastor Dilton Robinson and Jesus is Lord Evangelistic Ministries Church of God and Christ, Pastor Donald C. Williams are invited to attend her Celebration of Life Service on Thursday September 16, 2021 at 10:00 am, Professional Funeral Services Inc., 1449 N.Claiborne Ave., N.O.,LA. Visitation from 9:00 am until service begins. Interment, Friday September 17, 2021, Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Dr., Slidell, LA 70460. Family & Friends will meet at 9:15 am at Professional Funeral Service, 1449 N. Claiborne Ave. to proceed to the gravesite.
