Mary Jo Shehane, 88, a 56 year resident of Pasadena and formerly of Baltimore, MD, died at her home on September 15, 2021.

Mrs. Shehane was born on May 27, 1933 in Baltimore, MD to the late Blair and Loretta Marlow. She graduated in 1952 from Western Senior High School and began working as a Nurse's Aide for Dr. McLaughlin's Office in Pasadena where she remained through the 1960s. During that same time, Mary Jo met and married Larry Shehane and together they started a family that would eventually include 2 sons, 3 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Outside of work and family life, Mrs. Shehane served as a volunteer for North Arundel Hospital in the 1990s and was a past member of Magothy United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School for 18 years. She also enjoyed shopping, eating chocolates, and collecting little angel figurines. Above all, Mary Jo loved her dogs, her friends, and her family - especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Shehane is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Larry W. Shehane; sons, Ronald W. Shehane of Pasadena and Timothy B. and Cynthia Shehane of Las Vegas; daughter-in-law, Maria Anello Shehane of Pasadena; sister, Shirley Lee Hardy of Ellicott City; 3 grandchildren, Jennifer and Chris Crocetti, Jason and Marie Shehane, and Jessica Shehane; and 5 great-grandchildren, Lila, Dominic, Kira, Piper, and Mia.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, September 17 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. at Stallings Funeral Home, 3111 Mountain Rd., Pasadena, MD 21122 where funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 18 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Glen Haven Memorial Park.
