Arlene Theresa Gentile of Suffern, NY died on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at the age of 85.  She was surrounded by her family who loved and cared for her over the past ten years as she struggled with illness.  Arlene passed peacefully at home in the quiet of the night. She was a devoted wife and cherished mother of five children and four grandchildren. Arlene was pure of heart, elegant, gentle, kind, loving, compassionate, and so much more.  She never had an unkind word to say about anyone.

We miss you so much, Mom, and will always love you dearly.

The viewing will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ.

A private ceremony will be held Saturday morning, September 18, 2021, with a Catholic priest who will offer prayers and blessings.  She will then be laid to rest next to her husband, Fernando “Freddy” Gentile, at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah, NJ.
