Herbert Martin Riggs Whiting Herbert “Herbie” Martin Riggs, 66, died unexpectedly September 13, 2021. Herbie was a Jack-of-All-Trades. He worked for the town of Lubec and Machias sewer plants, auto body repair at Walt Loring, and Gary Huntley's, drove a truck , dug clams, and loved urchin diving. He enjoyed bass fishing, 4-wheeling, and riding his motorcycle with his wife Laurel. He is survived by the love of his life Laurel Marie (Foss) Riggs; a daughter Heather Leanne Fitzsimmons and son-in-law Carleton; a son Joel ; an Aunt Juanita Davis and family ; an Aunt Mary Ellen and Uncle Gary Marshall by marriage, but loved them as if they were his own; four grandchildren – Starr Jones , Cody Jones, Damien Riggs, and Amaya Riggs; and a special niece Tabitha Parsons.
