Somphone Phomphackdy, 65, of Fort Smith, AR passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 in Fort Smith. He was born on November 24, 1955 in Vientiane, Laos to Thit Thong Souvanno and One Thouriya. He was retired from O.K. Foods. Somphone was of the Buddhist faith and preceded in death by his son, Jeremey Phung. Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Saturday, September 18, 2021 at Ocker-Putman Funeral Home of Fort Smith with cremation to follow. The family will visit with friends from 5-7PM on Friday at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 34 years Stacy Phomphackdy of the home; two daughters, Thouriya Walker and Erica Phomphackdy both of Fort Smith; three sons, Chris and Quan Phung both of Van Buren and Brian Fischer of Nashville, TN; five sisters, Monivone Tipchote, Bounhong Souvannrath, Boummavath Thipchote, Bounphonphet Vilayvane and Bounhome Vongsanith; one brother, Viradeth Souvanno and 12 grandchildren.
