Joseph Andrew Mehesz of Franklin Park, NJ passed away on September 13, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He is predeceased by his parents John Sr. and Margaret Mehesz; brother John Mehesz Jr.; father-in-law William Growney; and mother-in-law Dorothy Growney; he is survived by his wife Fran (Growney) Mehesz; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Margaret and Adam Ksiazak, Ann and Robert Indyke, and Christopher and Barbara Growney; nieces and nephews, Anthony and Gigi Ksiazak, Jennifer Ksiazak, Catherine Ksiazak, David Ksiazak, Kevin Indyke, Brian Indyke, Melissa and Greg Schmitt, Ashley Growney, Christopher Growney Jr., Patricia and Keith Erikson, and Mary Gonzalez; and grand nieces and nephews Samantha Schaefer, Alex Ksiazak, Katie Ksiazak, Patrick Ksiazak, James Schmitt, and Dale Erikson. Joe was a lifelong avid Marilyn Monroe fan. He was also a foodie, and loved to go to the Walt Disney World Food and Wine Festival with the Indyke Family. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the M.J. Murphy Funeral Home, 616 Ridge Road at New Road, Monmouth Junction, NJ 08852. Funeral will be held at 9am on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:15am at St. Augustine of Canterbury Church, 45 Henderson Road, Kendall Park, NJ 08824. Burial will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, 53 Inman Ave, Colonia, NJ 07067. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org
