<p>Carl David DeHart, 80, of Morehead, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.</p> <p>He was born on June 25, 1941 in Rowan County, Kentucky, a son of the late Robert and Dorothy Adkins DeHart.</p> <p>Carl and Kay met in June of 1963.&nbsp; They dated and were married on December 25, 1964.</p> <p>Carl was a retired truck driver from Bulk Plants, Inc.&nbsp;</p> <p>He loved fishing, golfing, NASCAR and the Cincinnati Reds.&nbsp; His many hobbies included camping and doing activities with his family.&nbsp; He especially loved his Harley Davidsons and a great ride through the hills and scenery of eastern Kentucky.</p> <p>In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight uncles, Clayton DeHart, Jimmy DeHart, Lloyd DeHart, Homer Adkins, Beecher Adkins, Melvin Adkins, Joe Adkins and Hobart Adkins and five aunts, Olive Law, Jean Justice, Lorraine DeHart, Audrey Mayfield and Ina Litton.</p> <p>Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Kay Fraley DeHart, one daughter, Karen DeHart Stacy, one son, Rob (Melissa) DeHart and his mother-in-law, Olive Riddle all of Morehead, two granddaughters, Kassi (Aaron) Prince and Olivia DeHart, one great-grandson, Jaydon DeHart, four step-grandchildren, Desirae Moore, Haylie Moore, Caitlyn Brown and Andrew Brown, four step-great-grandchildren, Madison Prince, Toby Prince, Kaebri Caudill and Harper Brown, three brothers, Cobern (Sue) DeHart, Larry (Bonnie) DeHart and Billy (Phyllis) Dehart and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.</p> <p>Carl lived his life to the fullest with love and graciousness.&nbsp; He never took anything for granted.&nbsp; He will be loved and missed by all.</p> <p>Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 17, 2021 in the chapel of the Michael R. Gray Funeral Home in Morehead with Pastor Ronnie Gibson officiating.&nbsp; Honorary Pastors include Joey Damron, Mark Caldwell, Jerry Williams, Andy Lands, Bobby Tackett and Harley Sexton, Jr.</p> <p>Burial will follow in the Siloam Cemetery on Bull Fork Road.</p> <p>Visitation is from 5:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.&nbsp; The family will also receive visitors beginning at 11:30 A.M. Friday until the time of service.</p> <p>Pallbearers&nbsp;will be Cobern DeHart, Larry DeHart, Billy DeHart, Dave DeHart, Danny DeHart and Aaron Prince.</p> <p>Casket escorts will be Kassi Prince, Olivia DeHart, Jaydon DeHart, Walt Gullett, Paul White and Keith Hillman.</p> <p>Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Strunk, Bill Sparks, employees of Morehead Machining, Lenny Crouch, Marty Bays, Jeff Patrick and the brother and sisterhood of motorcycle riders.</p> <p>The Michael R. Gray Funeral Home, 808 Old Flemingsburg Road, Morehead, Kentucky 40351 is caring for all arrangements.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Carl David DeHart, 80, of Morehead, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.
