Harold Paul Fattig

HARWINTON / formerly MERIDEN – FATTIG – Harold "Skip" Paul Fattig, Jr., 75, passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 after a brief illness at Hartford Hospital. Skip was born on May 29, 1946 in Norfolk, VA; the son of the late Ruth and Harold Fattig, Sr. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He held a degree in Physics from Fairfield University and a Master of Science degree from Rensselaer Poly Institute. Skip was recently employed as a Senior Software Engineer for Hologic in Danbury. He enjoyed hiking, biking, traveling and his Ford Mustang. Among his survivors are his wife of 46 years, Jill Ann (White) Fattig, daughter, Karianne McGuinness, son-in-law, Colin McGuinness; grandson, Bennett McGuinness; a son, Paul Andrew Fattig; a brother, Michael James Fattig; as well as cousins, various relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be be held at a later date at a time to be announced. Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 5 Steele Road, New Hartford has care of arrangements.
