<p>Onzie Colton Edwards, 79 of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 in her home with family by her side.</p> <p>Born December 24, 1941 in Cumberland County, Onzie is the daughter of the late Ruben and Maggie Goodman. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stedmond Edwards.</p> <p>Onzie is survived by her son, Larry Edwards and wife Michele of Parkton; grandson, Larry Stedmond Edwards, Jr. and wife Brandy of Hope Mills; grandson, Luke Edwards of Parkton; granddaughter, Tonya Tyler of Stedman; grandson, Kris Tyler of Hope Mills; three great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.</p> <p>Onzie worked for several years at FASCO until the plant&#39;s closing in 1999 and later retired from Black and Decker after over 20 years of service. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord, her family, and her friends. Onzie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, daughter, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.</p>

Obituary

Onzie Colton Edwards, 79 of Fayetteville, passed away Monday, September 13, 2021 in her home with family by her side.

Born December 24, 1941 in Cumberland County, Onzie is the daughter of the late Ruben and Maggie Goodman. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stedmond Edwards.

Onzie is survived by her son, Larry Edwards and wife Michele of Parkton; grandson, Larry Stedmond Edwards, Jr. and wife Brandy of Hope Mills; grandson, Luke Edwards of Parkton; granddaughter, Tonya Tyler of Stedman; grandson, Kris Tyler of Hope Mills; three great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Onzie worked for several years at FASCO until the plant's closing in 1999 and later retired from Black and Decker after over 20 years of service. She was a devout Christian who loved the Lord, her family, and her friends. Onzie was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, daughter, and friend who will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her.
