James Ellis Anderson Jr.

<p>James Anderson age 97 of Rutherfordton, NC. passed away September 15, 2021.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents, James E. Anderson, Sr. and Bessie Allen Anderson, two wives, Betty Allen Anderson and Julia&nbsp;Hensley Anderson, his stepsons, Kenneth and William Garrett.</p> <p>Mr. Anderson is survived by his stepdaughter Inger Garrett Danner, two granddaughters, four great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.</p> <p>James graduated from Wake Forest University with a double major (math and chemistry), and NC State with a Chemical Engineering degree, as Registered Professional Engineer.</p> <p>He was an Eagle Scout, Scout Master, and earned the Silver Beaver Award.</p> <p>He lived a long and fulfilling life and will be missed by many.</p> <p>Service arrangements will be announced at a later date.</p> <p>In memory of James, donations may be made to Rutherford Housing Partnership, PO Box 1525, Rutherfordton, 28139.</p> <p>Sanders Funeral Home.</p>
