Mr. James Alwin “Jim” Rohrs, age 73 of Franklin, KY, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 1:15 PM at the Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 17th, 2021 from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Gilbert Funeral Home & Crematory.  Graveside service will be held on Friday at 1:00 PM with burial to follow in the Restlawn Memory Gardens in Franklin, KY. 

Jim was born on July 30th, 1948 in Auburn, NE to the late Alwin H. Rohrs and the late Della M. Witt Rohrs.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Misty Forshee and a brother Thomas G. Rohrs.

He is survived by his spouse of 28 years Janice Rohrs, 6 children, Brian Rohrs of Franklin, KY, Bronson Rohrs (Jen) of Franklin, KY, Jamie Rohrs of Franklin, KY, Shawn Goostree of Franklin, KY, Joshua Goostree of Franklin, KY and Derek Goostree (Kaylynn) of Franklin, KY, siblings, William “Bill” Rohrs (Pam) of Franklin, KY, Debbie Kellar (Steve) of Chicago, IL, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Jim was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan and an avid UK basketball fan.
